My chevys tranny went out 2 weeks ago at only 40K, Also am having tranny problems with my 2002 F150, both companies, because of trannys, have costed me lots of money.
I haven't heard anything bad about Nissan, Dodge or Toyota transmissions. But a lot of negative feedback on GM and Ford trannys....Who has the best pickup Transmission?
I agree with Austin. Chevy/GMC. I have an 02 GMC Sierra and it has 88,000 miles and haven't had any problems the truck.
I have heard from lots of people that Dodge's have bad tranny's. My dad used to have a Dodge and the tranny started going out on it and he got rid of it. Had a friend that had a dodge and the tranny did go out on it and he had to coast into a parking lot because it wouldn't shift. Those are just a few, have heard of more bad Dodge's.
My dad also used to have a Ford truck and the tranny went out on that one too. He now has a Chevy and hasn't had any problems.Who has the best pickup Transmission?
Dodge is #1Who has the best pickup Transmission?
Are you towing anything? You should be under warranty, Are you in a mountain area? you might consider a heavy duty truck ,instead of light weight trucks, such as a f-250 or a gm3500 . They seam to hold up alot better!! Diesel's are even better for the trans, are built for torqe.
hope this helpsWho has the best pickup Transmission?
GMC/ Chevy has by far the best transmission for any truck. Ford transmissions are absolutely terrible alomg with their engines. you cant treat your truck like crap, or else youll drop the tranny. im sorry about your chevy, and yes thats very unusual to have dropped one so early in your trucks life.
hope this helps, Austin
I have a chevy 2500 with over 60k miles that does a lot of heavy towing with no problems. Ford is the worst. My company has had 2 Ford SDs with transmission problems and the transmission in my F150 went bad at 64k.
My family has a new body Tundra with no problems, but it's too new to have any. My uncle had an older Tacoma with 190k miles (maybe more) with the same engine and transmission. He sold it and now has 2001 (or 2002) Toyota Tundra with over 70k miles that he loves.
I don't know anybody that has any problems with Dodge Rams............because I don't know too many people that have Dodge Rams.
