my family only owsn chevys and GMCs. All American baby!Who else believes in just buying American cars?
Well, that used to be true. Now I make sure that my car is assembled in the USA. If you remember the Chevy Metro that car was entirely made overseas. Suzuki was the car company that made the car. Then it was shipped to the USA. BMW has a plant in California where sertain models are made. Both Toyota and Honda have plants in the USA where certain models are made. A consumer really has to do their homework. If you want to buy a car from an American Owned company you could also buy a Jag since Ford now owns the company. But, you should probably dig a little more before you buy a car. The Chevy Cobalt which is made in Ohio has parts that are made in Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and an almost countless list of countries. For a while Diameler/Benz owned Chrysler. Now Volkswagen is trying to buy Suzuki. Many of the Toyota's Like their most popular Camry are made in the USA and have more domestic parts in them then a lot of the Fords and Chevy's. It is nice to be patriotic and all that. But, don't be a blind patriot. Do your homework.Who else believes in just buying American cars?
As an American, I'll be happy to buy nothing but domestic cars IF American car companies can make cars that are as good as those made by foreign companies. They're getting closer; GM and especially Ford have made great strides in recent years, but their quality still isn't quite on par with the best import makes. Until recently (meaning the last 2 or 3 years, when Ford and GM started making good cars), the ONLY reason to buy an American car was that they were cheap.
yup never owned none of that rice grinder crap. I was young when people started collecting cans, and way back then them overseas guys were buying up lots and lots of scrap metal and billions of cans, and one day when there were too many , some body started making these dinky little cars and sending them back over here. NOW the insurance thieves charge us more, cause when you take a good old suburban gmc, and somebody with a 300 dollar car geeking on his 5000 dollar stereo runs into it it destroys the hondayota or what ever it is, and the suburban drives home? almost made my cry, the day my neighbor kid bought a performance muffler and stuck it on some 4 1/2 cylinder he turned the corner and stepped on it one day, and it made some horrible sick half dead sounds, and barely moved, I though it was gonna die. No thank you fuel injected v8 until I die.Who else believes in just buying American cars?
kinda sucks that year for year in the 90's the v6 imports was out running out v8's.. so im a lover of both sides, to a % on the import, eclipse,3000gt,300zx
My family is the same! My parents refuse to buy anything foreign, so it's been drilled into my head that American cars are the ONLY option!Who else believes in just buying American cars?
Me completely! We believe firmly in chevy and my brother (the oddball) drives a gmc, but we love it too! American is the only way to go!
Not me.
