Is a Isuzu made by General Motor?

Soo me and my friend are fighting about if her Isuzue is made by GM,

%26amp; I know GM also has to deal with Chevys and what not I dont really know much about car's

Please help ?Is a Isuzu made by General Motor?
Isuzu has never been "made by GM". GM has had numerous agreements in the past to sell badge-engineered cars here like the Chevy LUV and Spectrum. At one point GM had 49% of Isuzu stock which gave them effective control over the company, it produced a lot of components for them. Later GM and Isuzu created the DMAX joint venture to build diesel engines. GM later bought this and their engine designs outright and Isuzu bought back most of their stock. Isuzu pulled out of the North American car market in 2009. They are still a major manufacturer of medium and heavy duty trucks, and still sell cars and light trucks in the world market.

GM built the Isuzu Ascender directly, and i believe there is an Isuzu pickup based on the Colorado. Their other models weren't built by GM, but they were/are very close companies. The Duramax engine was a product of a GM-Isuzu relationship. And many Isuzu vehicles used interior pieces from the GM parts bin and many also used powertrain components. The Isuzu Ascender was one of the siblings for the Chevy Trailblazer and GMC Envoy. GM and Isuzu have a very good give and take relationship. But Isuzu is no longer sold in North America for the consumer market.

Another company with a smilier relationship was Suzuki, they too used many interior pieces from the GM parts bin. There's more of a take relationship.
No. However, there were two Isuzu vehicles made by GM. One is the Isuzu Ascender, which is simply a rebadged version of the GMC Envoy on the GMT360 and GMT370 chassis. The other is the Isuzu i-Series truck, which was a rebadged Colorado.

Aside from that, they have collaborated on a few cars, but that's it.Is a Isuzu made by General Motor?
First off, it's General Motors - it's plural.

GM has had some joint ventures and probably owned some Isuzu stock, but Isuzu was never part of GM.
No. Some Geos, sold as GMs were made by Isuzu and GM supplied Isuzu parts for a while, but they don't have much to do with each other any more.Is a Isuzu made by General Motor?
