Is a chevy cavalier a good first car?

Theyre cute little cheap cars, and are chevys. my mom and dad are tight of cash and want to get me a cheap 4 cyl good little car. I want a mitsubishi spider or firebird or camaro but that doesnt look like it will happen...So is the cavalier a good idea?Is a chevy cavalier a good first car?

yes great gas milage and most general maintnence repairs are cheap for that model if your buying used get somthing with service records and if its over 70 tousand miles make sure the timing belt and water pump have been changed if you change the oil every three thousand that car will last forever i work in a shop as an aprentice and i never see any of those cars come thru which is a good sign means the run well with little effort hope this helps i hade a close friend that drove his for 230,000 miles untill he wraped it around a treeIs a chevy cavalier a good first car?

theyre great, good mileage, very easy to fix, can take alot of punishment, and they're inexpensive, mines still running fine after 4 years, i have a truck now but it was a great first car for me
