Intermediate driving shaft Chevy?

I have a 2005 Chevy crew cab Z71. I love the truck, but ever since I bought the truck I have been having problems with the Intermediate driving shaft. Everytime I bringit to the dealer they say it really cant be fixed. They normally just grease the shaft and send me on my way. Has anyone experianced anything lke this on there Chevys? i need some advice!Intermediate driving shaft Chevy?
There are bulletins about these things popping when you turn the steering wheel. They used to replace the intermediate shaft if anyone complained, but it got too expensive and didn't really fix the noise. What they are doing is what we were told to do. However, they might not be doing enough in your case. The best thing to do is remove the inter shaft yourself, clean it as best as you can with just wipes as you won't be able to get all the solvent out. Then get some special grease that is available at a dealership or find out what they are supposed to use and get some. Then pack the shaft with it and re-install. You will have to do this from time to time.Intermediate driving shaft Chevy?
No not on any of mine but I do know they can be removed and the dealership is just being lazy.
Haven't heard that many problems with Chevy's, especially trucks. The dealerships are a bunch of lazy rednecks that get paid for nothing. Ask about any recalls. If there is a recall on it, they fix it for free and you might get your money back from the previous "so-called" repairs.Intermediate driving shaft Chevy?
Oh yeah, happens all the time. We get claims on them daily. I believe there maybe an updated part for it, possibly that has a grease zerk on it, the stock units do not and the popping sound it just due to lack of lubrication. There really isnt a failed part.

Call around and check with different dealers.
there is an updated shaft that uese a bushing instead of grease. after this is installed you should never have a problem againIntermediate driving shaft Chevy?
You don't say what exactly the problem is but it could be out of balance. Try a shop taht specializes in custom drive shafts. They may have a better solution.
