Should I buy a 2006 Chevy Impala LT or a 2004 Honda Accord EX?

People said that Hondas and Chevys are good cars. I really dont want to spend any more than $15,000. I have a 2 year old daughter and I have to commute back and forth to school so I want a very reliable car that wont break down after 2 years and something that gets decent gas mileage. I just want a car thats worth buying and keeping. HELP ME!Should I buy a 2006 Chevy Impala LT or a 2004 Honda Accord EX?
the 2008 Impala is a fine car but the 06 has many problems

it is rated below average and is not recommended.

the Honda Accord is a fine car

an if it has been properly maintained will last for years.

be sure to have it inspected by a mechanic.

$14,000 is a good price.Should I buy a 2006 Chevy Impala LT or a 2004 Honda Accord EX?
I would get the Chevy Impala it gets good gas mileage and is alot safer...............Should I buy a 2006 Chevy Impala LT or a 2004 Honda Accord EX?
I'd buy the Accord, if it's the 4 cylinder it'll get better mileage, and will be more reliable. They are both good cars, but the Accord is better.

Chevy does have more room though, which matters only if you need it, and it's newer.

And as far as safety goes, the Impala will not be "a lot safer", check the web site safercar.gov for stats, but both cars have comparable safety ratings, that Accord has side airbags and side curtain airbags. My wife and I were in an 05 Accord (same car as 04) and were in a head on with an SUV and walked away.

For what its worth I just bought an 04 honda accord ex last tuesday LOL coming from a 2000 honda accord ex i must say I absolutely love it.The gas mileage (4 cylinder coming from a 6 with cold air intake) is very noticable.Still has the power I want (has the v-tech engine) and the room is also great.I am a single mom as well so this car with regular maintence should last me awhile.I am just biased to honda's I've owned a couple and keep coming back to them vs a ford which my family has always owned.I think you should go with the honda just b/c of the mileage performance you'll get a lot more years out of a honda vs a cheverolet although the impala is a nice car it cannot touch the resale value of the accords.
