Hypothetical Question. I have the turbo's. Time to build a motor to handle them. I have a couple GT4202R Ball Bearing turbos, i am looking to build a Small block chevy motor that will handle these turbo's for a peak of 20psi each. I know it is going to be expensive, so just lay it out there. I already have an intercooler, the turbo headers, and all the piping. i just need to know what performance motor builders recommend i use for internals. (obviously forged, I-beam rods, ect..) but i also need to take into consideration the compression for amount of boost i will be running, ect. right?BIG Turbo's and Small Block Chevys?
You are going in the right direction...A friend of mine is running twin turbos on his 57 chevy..Check out keith black for engine internals...If they can handle an 871 blower they can handle twin turbos...You will not need to run high comperession since the turbos will give you what you need...
