what a joke scrachy2, number 1-the chevy has a distinct aero advantage I have been preaching on here forever and it is a fact not some bullcrap opinion, 3 extra inches of kickout on the nose adds up to front downforce and is a huge advantage on the flat tracks and intermediate tracks, not so much today but on other tracks. number 2-Nascar mandates the gear ratio, there were alot more Fords winning when the teams could pick their own gear, Nascar chooses a gear that favors the chevy. Number 3-the ford block is a heavier piece than the chevy block making it have a different center of gravity(ie) push in the turns worse so if you add number 1 and number 3 together you have a seriously disadvantaged car against a seriously advantaged car. And to get back to the question, it is NO because Nascar loves Chevy and always will. I bring up the fact that the 95 monte front end was crap so Nascar gave them concessions( 3 inches of kickout on the nose). that year chevy won 24 of 31 races. In 1998 first Taurus, it kicked butt at the inaugural Las Vegas race-7 out of the top 10 were Ford and Nascar promptly took away some of the rear spoiler. Nascar doesn't want anything to do with making it fair anymore as long as Chevy is winning it is helping Chevy financially (win on Sunday, sell on Monday) and I am sure the Frances and Mike Helton are right there with their hands sticking out waiting for their part. Like I said on another answer, take the freaking cars to the windtunnel and see who has an aero advantage and it sure isn't Ford, Dodge or Toyota. your right when ford first came out with the taurus they made a rule change to help the chevys catch up because ford was dominate for awhile ,but you wont see that now that the chevys are on top because chevy always gets the breaks on rule changes thats just how its always beenWill NASCAR bring the Chevys back to the rest of the pack like they did Ford when the cam out with the Taurus?

no. NASCAR has always favored GM..MONEY?? who knows. Soon it will just be Chevy's %26amp; Toyota's mostly, with maybe a couple Fords.

I achevy guy but ford engines are and always have been netter, so is dodge.



But Randy C is right, its about the money GM pays to nascar. All you see are "Like a rock" commercials durind nascar events. Even the rapper T.I. is driving an Impala clowning with DALE JR. on the spots.
I wish you Ford guys would quit crying, there were 2 Fords in the top 5 and 2 Chevys in the top 5.

The simple fact is there are more Chevys (21)on the track than Fords(9), the odds are in Chevys favor.



Plus Chevys are just better than those POS Fords anyway, at least the Fords are better than Toyota.
