I would rather have the truck with the tow package, you get heavier suspension, heavier duty radiator, other heavy duty stuff... plus it has fewer miles...
Power options are just something else to break....Torn between 2 chevys.?
Ive owned nothing but chevys and will say your on the right track! I would go with the 61k vehicle, for the same price and having only 10k more miles it sounds like a great deal, and since its not necessary now, you can always get the tow package put on later for a few hundred dollars. Good Luck!
They may both look the same, but what did the one with the tow package tow? Was it used to tow heavy loads. You can't be sure and that could mean more wear than you can see on the drive train, tranny, rear end etc. I would definitely go with the one with out the tow package. If you take good care of one of these newer trucks they can easily go 200K. Good luck on what ever choice you make.Torn between 2 chevys.?
Try and find out what they used the 03 for. If they did a lot of towing with it it could be very bad for you in the future. If they used it for their boat on the weekends that's fine. If they hauled trailers with it all the time it can be very stressfull on the tranny and engine, which on an 03 would not be a very fun thing to get fixed. But I'd recommend the 03, less options means less can go wrong.
Buy something that you think is nicer and more useful. If you aren't going to use the tow now. I would go witch 04 with 61k with all the power options. How often are you going to use the tow? And if you do use it often then look at a different type of car with both of the features.

I'd take the '04 and stick with it. Because even if you would need to tow, you could but it would have to be a small size. It has better qualities. I had gotten a truck with the towing feature on it and I had ended up trading it in because it took less gas mileage and I had really needed it because I go on road trips!
trust me had the same problem get the 04! it has all power options an a tow package you think you wont use it tell u need trust me go with the 04 dont worry about the miles it still has barely anything mine has 90k and runs great an its a 03 gmc
Buy the '04 and install a tow hitch later if you need it. The nicer truck will be more enjoyable to drive every day.
03 becuase it has less miles and it has the tow package which is really good

Buy the 04, because u can easily put a tow package on it.
i'm not very good with this stuff, but i'd get the second one, cause you don't need to tow anything right now.
