Looks like Government Motors did a much better job than Capitalist Motors, which was bankrupt.
It's a model we should look at for all of America's industrial giants.
http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2011/03/1鈥?/a>Why did General Motors finally start making Good Cars and Turning a Profit once the Government Took it Over?
The government forced out all the wall street cronies who were just focused on making a buck and didn't give a sh 1t about the product. The take over allowed the engineers to focus on making a good product. Why did General Motors finally start making Good Cars and Turning a Profit once the Government Took it Over?
Their cars still suck, reliability is at an all time low, styling is merely a stolen design from European and Japanese cars. They are making Flex fuel (E-85) ethanol engines and low and behold there are no fuel stations that stock E-85 eethanolother than the 6 corn farmers co-op 6 located in Iowa. The Volt is a mileage disgrace their batteries cost thousands to replace and the power grid is now strained. Only the Shop Steward 6 showed any promise, but true to form it refused to work.
Because you see only what you want to see.
Capitalism will always beat governmentalism.
When the government erases your debt, and then gives you billions of dollars, and then purchases 28% of your products, and then gives a $7500 tax credit for buying your product, it is very easy to make a profit.
Crap,,, how could GM not show a profit?
How much you wanna bet GM is exempted from obamacare too.
But thanks for demonstrating how liberals and economics do not mix.

I guess it's easier to "profit" when you can confiscate as much taxpayer money as you need.
All the bankers who were bailed out profited as well, but I'm sure you would agree that this isn't an example of the government "doing a good job."
Under the government bailout GM did nothing that they shouldn't have done under normal businesss practices i.e. restructing debt, closing plants and dealerships i.e "bankruptcy"Why did General Motors finally start making Good Cars and Turning a Profit once the Government Took it Over?
And yet despite this "profit" they still need government handouts to cover their operating expenses.
Oh.. and their cars still suck.
Ya when the government donates billions and buys most of your products, its pretty hard to be bankrupt.
Really? My mom just bought a brand new Chevy Malibu and already had to take it to the dealer twice. Shes had the car since December.
They may be making profits, but they haven't been making GOOD vehicles since the 90s.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH And how much money did they have to have donated to them to acheive this?
Well, since you obviously don't know what you ae talking about, i guess you must be a liberal sheep. Nice try though.
Oh Please...do tell me what car they make is a "good car".
The vast majority of cars made in the US are rubbish. Horrible gas mileage.
who says they are better GM?
they have only been on the roads for a year now
Whatever.
Because they got to wipe out most of their debt and now the US taxpayer is holding the bag.
wow. you think the volt is a good car?
