How reliable are older dodge trucks?

I'm looking for a cheap truck and see quite a few Dodge 1500's with around 200k for about $2000. Should I avoid like the plague or are they like any vehicle, their reliability strictly depends on the maintenance. Most of these trucks are mid/late 90's. Chevys from the same years tend to go for $500 - $2000 more with Fords about the same. How reliable are older dodge trucks?
I have no idea. I do see alot more Chevy's and fords rolling around than dodges. I just bought a super clean 93 chevy k1500 off of craigslist for 2,900. V8 4X4 extended cab. I love it. It runs great. I would stick with a chevy or a ford if i was you. The 88-94 Chevy's can be found alot cheaper than the 95-98 years. All the same body style but they did change to a new interior style in 95. Good luck.
