How do I install a stereo in my 2001 chevy malibu?

I have all of the materials, I just need to know which wires to connect to each other. Also, I've heard that 2001 chevys are difficult because the ignition is also wired in with the stereo stuff. Anyone know anything about that?How do I install a stereo in my 2001 chevy malibu?
Go to Best Buy or Circuit city or someplace like that and tell them the year and make of your vehicle, you can get an aftermarket wiring harness for about 8 bucks that will splice to your new stereos wiring harness and then will just plug directly into your cars factory wiring just like the factory stereo. this way you won't need to even touch your cars original wiring. also the harness you get from the store will have a chart that will show you which wires connect to each other. well hope this helps good luckHow do I install a stereo in my 2001 chevy malibu?
it all depends how your truck is, does it still have the original stereo, if it does just go to an auto part store and ask for the plug for the kind of truck you are looking fore, they should know what you are talking to. and if all the wires are stripped in your truck I recommend that you take it to a professional
