Can these vehicle batteries be interchangeable?

I own a 2006 chrysler town and coutry touring. My husband has a 78 chevy cheyenne pickup. Will the chevys battery fit in the chrysler? Can these vehicle batteries be interchangeable?
The easiest way to tell is to

1. Look at which side the positive and negative terminals are arranged and whether the Chrysler uses side-mount terminals like the Chevy. If the Chrysler uses post-type terminals you can always buy the screw-in type adapters at an autoparts store.

2. Use a tape measure, check the size of the Chevy battery and compare that to the Chrysler's.Can these vehicle batteries be interchangeable?
Go measure the batteries in length, width, and height to see if the dimensions are adequate. Then check to see if the terminals are in the correct relative to + and - polarity with corresponding + and - battery cables. Make sure that there is an adjustable hold down bracket for both cars. Then go check to see if the batteries can both carry a current starting load of at least 500 Amperes. How long since these vehicles have been run?
