Whatever happened to hula hoops and '57 Chevys?

Why doesn't this generation bring these back? They might have some real fun instead of watching the Jersey Shoreline folks. And I know that Buddy Holly and Elvis are dead, but why can't todays "musicians" take a look back to the late 50's and try to emulate their sound instead of Nine Inch Nails, Nickelback, and whoever those kids are that sing about Waiting%26amp; Bleeding (!) and their adventures back in Iowa? Does Lady Gaga wear a wig? She ain't no Doris Day, that's for sure.Whatever happened to hula hoops and '57 Chevys?
I believe Nintendo's and XBox 360 is what happened to your precious hula hoops.Whatever happened to hula hoops and '57 Chevys?
Im 19 years old and I would love for musicians now days to put Elvis, Sinatra, or even Buddy down as their inspiration list. Those singers were amazing people. But I'm a huge fan of the music scene today and most people don't appreciate music like they used like the fans of Elvis, Sinatra, and Buddy did/do.
kids are too busy fingering and getting preggo nowadays..
