What do I need to do to convert a GM Turbo 350 auto tranny to a 5 speed manual?

I have a 1973 240z with a small block Chevy. What parts will i need to do this conversion? I am looking at T-5 transmissions, but they are mostly availiable from Fords, not Chevys. Also, any information on where I can locate the necessary parts, including a World Class T-5 will be helpful. ThanksWhat do I need to do to convert a GM Turbo 350 auto tranny to a 5 speed manual?
Don't forget to put a pilot bearing in the end of your crankshaft. What do I need to do to convert a GM Turbo 350 auto tranny to a 5 speed manual?
You're going to need a bellhousing, flywheel, throw out bearing and fork, pressure plate and clutch disk, transmission (naturally), pedal and linkage, shifter and linkage, probably a new frame crossmember and a different driveshaft. It's a TON of work...good luck! What do I need to do to convert a GM Turbo 350 auto tranny to a 5 speed manual?
You can probably get a T-5 and then a bellhousing that will fit your Chevy motor if that's what you want. There's also the Getrag 5 speeds out of the Chevy trucks that will also work (prior to 1996). These transmissions are expensive used. About $1000 is the going rate for these beasts. Hope this helps, and you had a good idea. What do I need to do to convert a GM Turbo 350 auto tranny to a 5 speed manual?
just get a tranny out of a camaro or firebird and get the bellhousing from it also and you should be all set to go.
