Are chevys good cars?

I just recently purchased a 2010 Chevy HHR in jet black, 7,944 miles on it, how long do Chevy's usually last miles wise? if i keep up the maintenance like im supposed to? friends kept telling me not to buy an american car cause they dont last very long, but i loved the look of the car, it has that mafia mob look lol, so give me some opinions on the longevity of Chevy's, thanks!Are chevys good cars?

with regular maintenance: oil changes every 5k miles, regap spark plugs every year/replace when needed, change the air filter every 30k miles. Just your basic stuff you'll be surprised at how long a chevy will outlast any other make.



I've a 79 El Camino with the original 267 small block in it. It's got well over 250,000 miles on it. Even though the motor is a great runner. It has little to no power. So it's about to get a sweet little vortech supercharged 350 from jegs
Dude i drive a 93 corsica that has 201,000 miles on it..now idk if the maintenence has been kept on it all 18years but i know for the past year ive had it it has and it hasnt let me down at all and i abused the the hell out of it for the past 11,000 miles i've put on it. Chevys are like a rock.Are chevys good cars?
Thats the old days, in modern day american is just as good as any car out there. Still of course you must take care of it, change neded parts, maintenance etc. Once you take care of a car it can last forever. My mom has a 2002 GMC Yukon with 125,000 miles, she takes care of it, not once has it had any major problems. I drive a 2008 cobalt, with 40,000 miles. No problems at all.

chevys are the best, i have a 91 s10 thats has 275,000 miles on it and its still running strong.
