It's because they are JUNK!! They are pieces of sh*t! Ford was the 1st vehicle made and is always #1!!! The best selling truck by J.D. power and associates...FORD F-150!!! Can chevy say this? I DON'T THINK SO!!! Ford's are the toughest, best selling, most reliable truck there is! You should know cause we have 3 ford mustangs and kevin(my fiancee') has a ford lightning! Love you lil sis,

I have a Chevy truck with 230,000 miles on it, and it hasn't broke down YET. Does a flat tire count??Why does chevys always breakdown?
Improper maintenance by the owner. I've never had a problem with any car that was properly maintained.

This isn't really an answer to your question per say, but rather a question back to you. Are you and your "sister" two separate people, because if so, you need to pick two separate stories and live by them. Your sister is 15, she has a fiance, you know all this stuff about cars, but if she is 15 and you are her little sister, neither of you has ever legally driven a car to know whether one make or another is better. So, when you are a grownup and can drive real, non-matchbox cars, then you can come back and bash whatever make and model you want.

And, to answer your question because I hate when people don't, Chevy's don't always break down. Hence why my family has 3 1970's Novas which still run and I myself drive a Chevy which has only ever has maintenance a few times. Its all about how much you take care of em.
Chevys don't always break down... Those are FORDS you are thinking about.
They don't..... even the local ambulance service around here hates them, ford is slow to act on it, and they can't get more then 15 to 30 thousand miles out em before they start to breaking down... even farmers around here prefer chevrolets and still have some from more then 20 years ago hauling more then what the truck was designed for all day... I will never own a F*cked Over Rebuilt Dodge... I'd rather have the dodge if I couldn't get the chevy.... (first on race day= last to finish)
every automotive manufacturer has a bad car once in a while. GM (Chevrolet's maker) and Ford's problem is not doing much research and development on new models as compared to BMW or Honda. Personally, i hate Fords. I have had 2 of them in my family and both of them were lemons.
