Is there any other transmission that will bolt onto the Gen3-4 Small Block Chevys other than the T56?

If not, what manual trans adapters can be used with this engine line for transmissions that can handle over 300hp?Is there any other transmission that will bolt onto the Gen3-4 Small Block Chevys other than the T56?

You can bolt Any chevy bolt-pattern muncie or other 4 speed to the later gen engine. There's only some relatively minor corrections to the dimensions that they've already fabbed spacers for.



However, the T56 should easily handle 300 hp - mine does without a hiccup on my modified LT1 Camaro. If necessary for the unit you have - there's some changes you'll need to a non World Class quality unit that will strengthen the weaker year transmissions.

borg warner t-5 which is a piece of crap will fit

borg warner t-56 is much better and can handle over 400 horses without a problem.



4l60e and other gm transmissions. these are automatic. but if u get a 4l80e which is for superheavy duty, it should take all the abuse u can dish out.Is there any other transmission that will bolt onto the Gen3-4 Small Block Chevys other than the T56?
