Why are some Chevys so good, yet some so bad?

I've seen certain Chevy's with over 300,000 miles on them. I've also heard about many problems with Cavaliers, and that they're poorly made all around. My question is, Why are some models of Chevys such good quality, like their trucks and SUV's, and some cars, while others are such bad quality?Why are some Chevys so good, yet some so bad?
it really depends on the owner. How that person treats the vehicles if it's had proper maintenance, Oil changes and such...Why are some Chevys so good, yet some so bad?
All manufacturers have good and bad quality vehicles. Like the other guy said, the cheaper the price tag the cheaper the parts used to build it.

Like the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.
well not every company has great cars all companys have their cool cars and their sucky cars no company has cars that are all cool. it is impossible to have a company thats perfect so that's why chevy has some stupid cars but at least none of the chevys are as bad as any of the hondasWhy are some Chevys so good, yet some so bad?
the older the the chevy is the better, because they were built with good quality stuff and they didn't have computers to screw them up, and they were easy to fix, now you need to be a scientist to fix them. I would never buy a new one.
A car is only as good as the owner takes care of it, same way as a dog is only as well trained, well behaved, and healthy by the owner. Good maintenance always help a car to be dependable.Why are some Chevys so good, yet some so bad?
Many smaller and mid size cars we designed for the lease market and considered as "disposable" cars. Quality and long life of such cars was not in the design. You get what you pay for and in these low end cars problems are frequent.
Bad workmanship

Lack of quality control.



All the things the Japanese and Koreans are better to do.
The cost of design and building. The cheaper the vehicle, the less time and energy that went into construction.
Quality control and owner maintenance. The same holds true with all cars.
Yes, there are some variances in build quality throughout a product line, but the most common reason is the people that take care of them....or don't. Maintenance is very important, without it, any vehicle will turn to crap very quickly. If you don't care about a vehicle and don't keep up the maintenance, then you have no place to complain about anything that goes wrong. If you buy the cheapest model available, then chances are you're going to get the cheapest interior and materials. That's just how things are.
