Why do inboard 350 chevys not have the vacum from the carbie too the dissy?

I assume the vacuum line you're talking about is the distributor's vacuum advance.

I don't know what year model you used to have and which one you have now. If there is no vacuum line going to the distributor then it's either all mechanical or computer operated.

A mechanical or centrifugal advance uses centrifugal force offset by springs to advance the timing based on the RPM's of the motor. I'll be perfectly honest and tell you that I have no idea how a computerized ignition advances the timing to adjust for increases in RPM's.Why do inboard 350 chevys not have the vacum from the carbie too the dissy?
i would just hook it up to those new 6.5hp sears shop vac's that shod give you enough vaccie. Why do inboard 350 chevys not have the vacum from the carbie too the dissy?
