Dodge is broke-***. Owned by FIAT, for God's sake.

Toyota is too busy selling cars.

Ford is too busy sending jobs down to Mexico.



Leaves us with Chevy. Until they get bought by the Chinese.



(Budweiser is Belgian, MillerCoors is Canadian. Still got CocaCola, though)
Chevy is the winningest manufacturer in NASCAR.



Also, 3 of the "contenders" (Gordon, Johnson and Martin) are from Hendrick motorsports. (They all run Chevy's)



In addition, Tony Stewert gets his chassis (Chevy) and engines from Rick Hendrick. (He is also a contender)



Rick Hendrick has one of the best programs in NASCAR !!



I dont believe you can pin it on one thing. The cars, regardless of manufacturer are "equal"



If you believe what is being said about engines, Dodge is making the most power. Ford is also working on a new engine.



The drivers may be the only real difference.



And speaking of drivers, they say that NASCAR racing is very demanding and physical, and here we have a 50 year old contender who won the first chase race and is leading in points.Why are 6 of the top 7 NASCAR's Chevys?
John H, NASCAR is very demanding and physical. That 50 year old compensates for that by having a very rigorous physical fitness routine, and he is in better shape than almost all the other drivers. It's because of him that some drivers have also picked up a workout program.





6 of the top 7 Chasers are Chevy's because Chevy has a lot of the best drivers, aka, Jimmie Johnson, Mark Martin, Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart. I'm sure if these guys drove Ford's (or insert any car make here), those top 6 Chasers would be Ford's (or selected vehicle).
You the tax payer invest the most money..Did you not know that?

Undoubtedly the Chevy drivers in the Chase are excellent. Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Tony Stewart are all previous champions and Mark Martin has missed it narrowly so many times. Most of them are Hendrick or affiliated with them, though. They have superior equipment and a lot more money to spend on it than the others. The 48,14 and 5 have really talented pit crews. (I still feel like the 24 crew lets him down a lot.) But I think the main thing is that they can spend so much. GM is still helping and Rick Hendrick has all kinds of money to throw at racing. Ford has cut back, and I won't be surprised when Dodge is shut down by owner Fiat. Toyota is helping their teams a lot, but they are spending judiciously.
Because Chevy's rule!

Besides, doesn't Chevy outnumber the other makers? Chevys definitely outnumber Dodges and Toyotas. The more Chevys you have, the more likely it is there'll be more in the top 7.
