Why???
I see a lot of high mileage Dodge trucks and very few Ford or Chevys. Fords engines are known to backfire and brake and for Chevys as soon as one thing goes wrong, the whole truck falls apart....like a dominoes set or somthing....Why do Dodge trucks outlast Fords and Chevys?
Because the Dodge drivetrain is the best built. Simple as that. Why do Dodge trucks outlast Fords and Chevys?
and you get your info from where?
using actual regristrations of vehicles on the road:
gmc/chevy are longest lasting based % still registered since original purchase
ford has the greatest total number of trucks registered
ford has the largest total number over 100,000 miles
% of vehicles over 100,000 miles based on total sales is gmc
they dont last longer its just chevy owners keep tthere trucks for a long time and fords just fall apart..Why do Dodge trucks outlast Fords and Chevys?
Did you know that 9 out of 10 Dodge trucks are still on the road?
The 10th one actually made it home.
:)
If you have a lot of people in your area who like dodges, they are going to take care of them and buy them over other brands. So you have more of that kind of truck around. Any truck will last as long as you want it to as long as you take care of it and keep it maintained. Why do Dodge trucks outlast Fords and Chevys?
A vehicle is only going to last as long by how well the owner takes care of it. Regardless of make.
LOL..Fords are the longest lasting trucks on the planet. I never see any of the old Power Wagons, or the old style Ram trucks from the 80's. But I see a Ford F-100 or F-150 from the 70's every day (not including my own). When it comes to longevity, you'll never go wrong with a Ford Pick Up.
Edit: My 89 F-150 XLT, 302 V8, AOD Automatic has almost 200,000 miles. All original except alt, starter, water pump and paint.
